Dr. Glen Reeves is a consultant on the medical effects of ionizing radiation. He has provided subject matter expertise for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in counter-terrorism related analysis for radiological dispersal devices, improvised nuclear devices, and other radiological insults to humans. While on active duty in the Air Force he led a program of collaborative research projects with scientists formerly involved in the USSR’s nuclear weapons program. This effort produced 20 publications on the effects of radiation on workers and on populations near the Kazakhstan test site. He has authored or co-authored several publications on subjects ranging from the biophysics of enhanced radiation weapons to the medical treatment of radiation injuries.
