Arie Croitoru, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Geography and Geoinformation Science at George Mason University. He is also a researcher at Mason’s Center for Geospatial Intelligence. His research focuses on the development of algorithms and tools for extracting spatial information and knowledge from social media as well as other crowdsourced data.
