Bin Chen is a Research Assistant Professor in Ted Sargent’s lab at Northwestern University, where he works on defect passivation and stability enhancement of interfaces in perovskite solar cells. Before joining Northwestern, he was a University of Toronto postdoc studying perovskites, quantum dots, and their optoelectronic devices. He received his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Arizona State University, where he focused his graduate research on understanding defects in two-dimensional materials.
