Graduate Student in Environmental Engineering, Mississippi State University
Hariteja Nandimandalam is a graduate student in environmental engineering at Mississippi State. He is originally from New Delhi, India. He is currently developing biosensors using exoelectrogenic bacteria to prevent oil spills. This principle may also be used to treat hydrocarbon-contaminated water sources, such as those originating from fracking operations. His research interests extend to water-wastewater treatment, microbial fuel cells, and bioelectrochemical systems.
