Himanshu Garg is an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Science at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center-El Paso. He trained as a virologist at the National Cancer Institute, NCI-Frederick, before joining Texas Tech as a faculty member in 2009. His research involves HIV pathogenesis, molecular virology, mechanism of viral entry, recombinant and mutant virus generation, antiviral drug development, reporter virus particle assays for viruses, and VLP vaccine research.
