Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy
Dr. Mihaela Papa is a co-investigator on the Rising Power Alliances research project (sponsored by the Minerva Research Initiative) and an adjunct assistant professor in Sustainable Development and Global Governance at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. As a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Law School, she examined India, China, and Brazil in international dispute settlements and spent time in China as a visiting researcher at Fudan’s Center for BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) Studies, prompting her BRICS-focused research agenda.
Dr. Papa is an active practitioner with extensive experience advising institutions on global strategies and managing international collaborations. In this capacity she has worked with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, consulted for the U.S. government, the European Commission, and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. Dr. Papa earned her Bachelor’s degree in trade economics from the University of Zagreb in Croatia before completing her masters and doctorate in law and diplomacy and international relations, respectively, from Tuft’s University.
