Shanshan Yao received her B.S. in microelectronics and M.S. in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2009 and 2012, respectively. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University, where she is currently a postdoctoral research scholar. Her research interests include growth, nanomechanics and device applications of nanowires and two-dimensional materials in flexible and wearable electronics.
