Yusuke Yamani is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University, where he directs the Applied +++Cognitive Performance Laboratory. His current research focuses on two broad areas. First, he is interested in the allocation of visual attention for young and older drivers and development and evaluation of training programs for improving visual performance during driving using eye tracking techniques and driving simulation. Second, his lab examines relationships between operators’ attention allocation strategies and trust towards imperfect automated systems.
