Military Working Dog CBRN Protection and Medical Countermeasures

Posted on April 28, 2022 | Completed on April 19, 2022
What modifications need to be considered for the current deployable force packages/Defense CBRN Response Force military working dog component?
Military working dogs (MWDs) are an invaluable resource to the military, law enforcement, and other first responders. Working side by side, they are exposed to the same threats as their human counterparts.
The Homeland Defense and Security Information Analysis Center (HDIAC) received a request regarding specific technologies and techniques for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protection, decontamination, and medical countermeasures (MCMs) for MWDs. HDIAC engaged our subject matter expert community to answer this important inquiry.
