A new technology developed at Chalmers University in Sweden, the Molecular Solar Thermal (MOST) system, has the ability to produce electricity on demand. Right now, the research team believes the system could be used to charge small electronic devices. Future, more robust systems could provide solar power storage for as long as 18 years, solving the problem of intermittent energy production by solar energy.
