Deadline: August 29, 2022

The Homeland Defense and Security Information Analysis Center (HDIAC) was recently tasked with finding alternative fuel sources (e.g., full electric batteries, hybrid solutions, hydrogen fuel cells, solar electric designs, and nuclear-based fuel sources) for maritime surface vessels. Of particular interest are any programs of Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or higher that can be used to augment or replace current maritime capabilities/designs.

If you have any information on any non-fossil fuel energy source or hybrid fuel source programs for maritime surface vessels of any size/design, please fill out any relevant fields in the form found here (IAC_Active_TI_Form_Maritime_20220816) or provide contact information and relevant details in an e-mail to Daniel Fleming (daniel.p.fleming8.ctr@mail.mil), the lead IAC analyst, or on the DoDTechipedia forum by clicking the “Join the Discussion” button below.
