Deputy Director

Ike Blanton is the Deputy Director for International and Strategic Engagement with the Office of Foreign Investment Review (FIR), the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) lead office for the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). He works on DoD international, congressional, and domestic engagements on CFIUS and foreign investment review issues. He was also a foreign service officer with the Department of State, where he served in Brazil and China, and worked in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, the Bureau of Consular Affairs, and the White House Situation Room. Before public service, he was in-house counsel specializing in finance and secured transactions.
