Principal Investigator/Epidemiologist

Amanda Staudt is an epidemiologist working on multiple research projects, which include the Deployed Hemostatic Emergency Resuscitation of Traumatic Exsanguinating Shock (HEROES) study and the US Military Burden of Disease (MBD) study. The HEROES study is a full-spectrum evaluation of transfusion strategies employed in the combat environment over the last 18 years to assess the clinical outcomes in traumatically injured casualties requiring transfusion. The US MBD will provide a representation of the actual number of years of healthy life lost to injury among service members.
